My 2020 summer break was a very interesting one. My family and I self quarantined for more than 4 months and staying inside for this long made me appreciate the outdoors. This year in the PLTW program I am excited to work on more team building exercises, I understand that reaching everyone during these hard times will be finicky but it would be interesting to see if team building is still something that's possible in the 2020 digital age of online work and schooling. Overall school wise I'm ready to give it my all, as well as showing an improvement in all my classes. This is my last year at Santa Monica High Scholl so I would love to give it all my effort to show growth in all of my classes, even ones I struggled in.

What is going well/not going well in your capstone project?

Knowing the people that are in my group and working with them in other projects beforehand. I can say I'm confident we all like each other as group mates having no outstanding conflicts. We are in talks about products and distributing the load and are currently in a good place by making sure all our work should be done. There have been small communication issues about what procedures we have been assigned to (Due to online calls) but those should be fixed very quickly as I have communication with my other teammates and vice versa.

What problems do you anticipate will arise in the coming weeks in regards to your capstone project?

With all honesty, I do foresee a scenario where a groupmate might forget to do a certain "procedure" in which the others would have to scramble and fix. Other issues could arise during the design process where my teammates possibly wouldn't agree with certain options and stay divided for the moment. In which case we will list the pros and the cons for each option and pick a solution in which the pros out way the con's

**My current state of mind as of 11/1/2020 depicted by John & Garfield the cat **
-By: Jim Davis

The picture above shows a portion of the famous comic strip, Garfield, by Jim Davis. In the comic strip, John (The Human) is seen unmotivated saying "I can't seem to get anything done lately... No matter how hard I try." This really shows how I feel during the quarantine. In the beginning, I believed it would be great to get more sleep, more time for myself and no social worries that every high schooler thinks. As time went on I learned that I'm more sociable then I appeared, there is nothing quite like seeing-eye contact in a conversation. Furthermore, being at home has made me see, at one point, a boost in productivity. As time went on and tasks became repetitive, it has slowly diminished.
